Shri Venkateshwara University celebrated Doctor’s Day by organizing various events.
Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute celebrated the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BC Roy as National Doctor’s Day with enthusiasm and fervor.
This year’s theme was - Who Heals the Healers.
On this occasion, we hosted a seminar, a doctor’s felicitation function, and a TB- Free India pledge ceremony.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr KK Dave and the Chief Guest CMO Dr Ramakant Sagar inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
Medical Dean Dr MH Prabhu, AMS Dr Amit Jain and Dr VP Singh joined them to unveil the seminar, Doctor’s Felicitation function and TB Free India pledge ceremony.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Shri Sudhir Giri said that doctors not only provide health and medical services but they are the backbone of a nation’s development.
Dr Ramakant Sagar affirmed VIMS doctors and medical students will work with the District Health Committee and UP Health and Family Welfare Department for the complete eradication of TB from the country.
He further said whether it was the Corona pandemic or other health emergencies, we have seen how doctors treated patients with full dedication and commitment. They didn’t bother about their own health and gave a new life to the patients. Their role is no less than that of the policy formulators in this country. We should also consider the adverse mental and physical conditions doctors undergo while treating patients.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted that a doctor is also a human like us. Whether we consider them as Earth’s God or not, we should honor their dedication, commitment, and sacrifice for maintaining human health.
We honored over 100 doctors by gifting them a shawl and memento for providing excellent medical services to the masses. Later, the students presented an excellent cultural program, which made the Doctor’s Day celebration memorable.
Those present included the District TB Officer Dr Vishal, Deputy CMO Dr Yogender; Dr VP Singh; ACMO Dr Bhaskar; Dr BS Tyagi; Dr Rama Shankar; Dr Zareen Afroz; and Dr Garima Bhatnagar.
Dr Mahantesh, Dr Shashidharan, Dr Shri Krishan, Dr Manish Tomar, Dr Varshodhara, Dr Pragya Kushwaha, Dr Arun Kr. Goswami, Dr Ruchi Chaudhary and Dr Supriti Bhatnagar were all present.
Also present were Dr Sachi Ahlawat, Dr Naushad, Dr Virendra, and Dr Ruchi Patwardhan. From the Meerut Campus, the Group Director, Dr Pankaj Kumar, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
