Shri Venkateshwara University organized various events on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2026

Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute along with VIMS Multispecialty Hospital organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp and Health Awareness Seminar to mark World Blood Donor Day on 14th June 2026.

The college management, students, staff, interns, and police personnel voluntarily donated blood and collected 82 units of blood.

They pledged to save lives by donating blood.

Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr KK Dave, Medical Dean Dr MH Prabhu and the MS Dr Shishir Patil inaugurated the event by cutting a ribbon and lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

The additional MS Dr Amit Jain and Dr Naushad joined them to unveil the Blood Donation Camp and Awareness seminar held to mark World Blood Donor Day 2026.

The donors motivated people to donate blood by displaying blood donation banners on the institute's premises. Through an awareness seminar, speakers explained the significance of donating blood and pledged all to donate blood at regular intervals.

The Venkateshwara Group’s honorable Founder President Shri Sudhir Giri reiterated that blood donation is the supreme donation of all because it saves someone’s life. Let’s donate blood to give a new lease of life to the needy.

Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted that if thousands of university students, teachers, staff, and other officials donate blood at regular intervals, then no one would lose their life because of blood shortage. The Venkateshwara Group organizes blood donation camps at regular intervals in order to save lives.

He further said that by donating blood at regular intervals, we can prevent over 10 lakh deaths that occur every year because of road accidents, trauma and surgery. Through regular blood donation we can save these deaths every year. Let’s all contribute our part in the Healthy India–Ayushman India mission.

Those present included Dr Suman, Dr Garima Bhatnagar, Dr Sachi Ahlawat, Blood Bank In charge Dr Naushad, Farheen, Nursing Head Anita Mathews, and SS Baghel. From the Meerut Campus, the Group Director, Dr Pankaj Kumar, was present along with the Media In charge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
