Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute, VGI Meerut and the UP Police Cyber cell celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day by organizing a large Yoga Camp and felicitation function.
This year’s theme was Yoga for Healthy ageing.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Shri Sudhir Giri, Chief Guests/Yoga trainers Er. Madhvi Singh and Dr NA Shah inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr KK Dave and the Medical Dean Dr MH Prabhu joined them to unveil the events held to mark the International Yoga Day 2026.
On International Yoga Day, we felicitated the yoga trainers by gifting them a turban, a Pátka, and a memento.
Both yoga experts gave valuable health tips and taught yoga to the staff and over 3000 students who took part in the International Yoga Day function.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Shri Sudhir Giri reiterated that honourable PM Shri Narendra Modi has promoted Yoga on the international forum, which has established India on the global stage.
Through Yoga we can bring positive improvements not only in our personal life but also contribute towards national development.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted India is the most youth country in the world. Through yoga and meditation, India is on track to become a world leader.
Engineer Madhvi Singh said through yoga and meditation, let’s make India stress-free, promote peace, and establish India as a global brand ambassador of yoga and meditation. Er. Madhvi Singh is a renowned Yoga trainer from Art of Living, Bengaluru.
Dr NA Shah said yoga and spirituality are the symbols of a healthy and cultured Indianness. Dr NA Shah is a reputed yoga trainer and cofounder of International Shah Yoga Foundation, Portugal.
Those present included the VC Dr KK Dave, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, HR Head Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Dr SK Shrivastava, Dr Om Prakash, Dr Ashutosh, Dr Shilpa Raina, Dr Aasiya Wahid and Anil Jaiswal.
Dr Shyamlal, Dr Vikas Pandey, Dr Abhishek Singh, Dr Arti Gupta, Dr Vineet Gupta, Dr AS Yadav, Dr Amit Kumar, Dr Jyoti, Dr Anand Sen, Dr Priti Mishra, and Dr Shree Ram Gupta were all present.
Also present were Dr Rishabh Chaudhary, Dr Chandrakant, Abhishek Suman, APO Krishna Kumar, Yadram, SS Baghel, Riya Chaudhary, CB Singh, Lallu Singh, Neeraj Giri, Sheel bhadr, Shakti Dwaj, Sachin, Sanjeev Rai, and Pritpal.
From the Meerut Campus, the Group Director, Dr Pankaj Kumar, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others. Also present were medical students, cyber interns, employees, and teachers.
