Shri Venkateshwara University organized a mega blood donation camp on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day.
Shri Venkateshwara University, VIMS Multispecialty Hospital, and VGI Meerut organized a mega blood donation camp on World Blood Donor Day 2024.
They successfully collected 108 units of blood.
The College management, students, faculty members, and voluntary blood donors all took part in the blood donation camp. They also motivated others to donate blood regularly.
The voluntary blood donors displayed banners encouraging people to donate blood & pledged them to save lives by donating blood.
Dr Sudhir Giri, the Founder President of the Venkateshwara Group, along with Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, Keynote speaker Dr Mahendra Singh, and Dr Garima Bhatnagar, the Head of Pathology, inaugurated the event. They cut the ribbon and lit a lamp on the portrait of Goddess Sarasvati.
Dr BN Singh from Community Medicine, Dr Ravi Shastri, Dr Habib Ur Rahman, & Dr Sachi Ahlawat joined them to unveil the seminar cum awareness rally marking the World Blood Donor Day 2024.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated voting, donating cow & kanyadaan are great donations but blood donation is supreme because through this you save someone’s life.
He appealed all to donate blood regularly and also inspire others to donate blood at regular intervals.
The keynote speaker & former CMO Dr Mahendra Singh asserted through blood donation we can save 10 lakh deaths occurring because of blood loss in road accidents, trauma & various surgeries.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi announced in the year 2024 till date the Venkateshwara Group has organized half a dozen blood donation camps and saved precious lives.
Those present included the Group Advisor Mr. RS Sharma, Dr Habib Ur Rehman, Mr. SS Baghel, Dr Komal Saini, Dr Ravi Shastri Dr Sachi Ahlawat, Dr Sneha Gautam, Dr Naushad, Dr Ashwini Ranjan & Dr Saurabh Sharma.
Dr Saurabh Garg, Abhinav Silva, Kushagra Singh, Navneet, Manish, Sudesh Chaudhary, Dr Rupayan Singh, Hospital Marketing Director MA Chaudhary, Farheen & Nursing Head Ms. Jyoti Vajpayee were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh was present & also present was the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
