Shri Venkateshwara University organized several programs to celebrate International Literacy Day 2025.
Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute hosted a seminar on the importance of digital education for promoting literacy in celebration of International Literacy Day 2025.
We also observed a Literacy Awareness Fortnight on this occasion.
All the speakers unanimously voiced the importance of knowledge/education in making India a world leader and a developed nation by 2047.
They highlighted that Educated India- Developed India will pave the way to accomplish this.
Under the Literacy Awareness Fortnight 2025, we flagged off a 150- member student team under the leadership of 15 faculty members of the University/Administration.
These students will showcase the importance of education through poster making, seminars and street plays in the various institutions of Meerut, Moradabad and UP West.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and the VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave inaugurated the events by flagging off the Literacy Awareness rally.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated that in countries where the youth are educated and technically competent, no one can stop them from becoming developed like the USA, Germany, Japan, Canada and others.
The maker of our constitution, Dr BR Ambedkar, has said that ‘Education is the milk of the Lioness. Whomsoever drinks it will roar–meaning the power of knowledge is supreme in this universe. If we really want to make India a developed nation, then we should make it 100 percent literate.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, asserted that for India to become a world leader and a developed nation by 2047, then education should reach the last man standing in the row.
He further said that the NEP 2020 is both historic and excellent because it encompasses skill India-digital India, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan and many other revolutionary schemes within it. Through quality education and innovation, India is once again positioned to become a world leader.
The VC, Dr KK Dave, affirmed that there has been a remarkable improvement in the literacy rate because of digital learning.
Those present included the Registrar, Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Manish Sharma, Dr Jyoti Singh, and Dr Manjari Rana. Moreover, the Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
