Venkateshwara Group celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as National Unity day–by organizing half a dozen events that included unity race, essay & poster competition & a friendly cricket match.
University management felicitated the winners of various competitions with souvenirs and certificates.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Vice Chancellor Prof. P.K. Bharti, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Vims Director Brigadier Satish Agarwal, & the Meerut Campus director Dr Prabhat Srivastava, inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
In his address, the group chairman Dr Sudhir Giri said that whether it is the freedom struggle, or the independence of India, Sardar Patel played a commendable role.
He not only repulsed the British, but also united the country, which was fragmented into 562 units.
His determination, discipline & character make him the greatest & the best of all.
Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, Vice Chancellor, said that if the Indian youth imbibes the ideals of Sardar Patel, no one can stop India from becoming a world guru again. Let us take an oath and resolve to follow his ideals and principles.
The Vice Chancellor Dr P K Bharti, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Vims Director Brigadier Satish Agarwal & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Prabhat Srivastava also addressed the Akhand Bharat Seminar.
After this, the Management felicitated the winners of the 10-over friendship cricket match, Unity Race, Essay and Poster competition, with certificates and souvenirs.
