In fact the setting of POSCO and fast track courts have expedited justice delivery because they announce judgment within a stipulated time. There is a huge demand for such courts because cases involving the other half are on the rise prompting speedy justice.

Government jobs after BALLB

The Government conducts the Indian Judicial Services exam to choose additional district judges and district judges for all states.

After BALLB, which course is best?

Is BALLB a good career option?

There is a scarcity of judges to adjudicate cases. As of September 1, 2021, the Supreme Court had a single vacancy, a fraction of the approved strength of 34 judges.

In the High Courts, nearly half of the total judicial posts were unfilled (465 out of 1,098), with Telangana, Patna, Rajasthan, Odisha, and Delhi having over 50% vacancies.

The High Courts of Meghalaya and Manipur had no open posts.

As of February 20, 2020, 21% of judicial positions in subordinate courts were vacant (5,146 out of 24,018) despite having sanctioned strength of judges.

Bihar had the highest proportion of positions open, 40% (776), followed by Haryana at 38% (297) and Jharkhand at 32% (219), among states with at least 100 judges’ authorized strength.
