World Hepatitis Day 2025

On World Hepatitis Day 2025, Shri Venkateshwara University/VIMS hosted a 1 day seminar on Hepatitis is fatal but not incurable and conducted a free Hepatitis checkup and treatment camp.

Senior doctors provided free checkups to thousands of patients from Meerut, Moradabad and UP-West and advised about the prevention and treatment of hepatitis.

The Venkateshwara Group Founding President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr KK Dave and the CMS Dr Suresh G Mehta inaugurated the event by cutting a ribbon.

Medicine HOD Dr Yogesh Kumar, Marketing Director MA Chaudhary, & the HR Head Kuldeep Singh joined them to unveil the Hepatitis awareness seminar marking World Hepatitis Day 2025..

The Venkateshwara Group Founding President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated we commit to offer affordable, convenient and world-class health services not only to UP west but to the entire country.  

Renowned physician Dr Yogesh Kumar asserted that hepatitis A/B/C/D and E viruses causes hepatitis a viral disease. Hepatitis B virus infects the maximum patients all over the world. If we can diagnoze the disease in early stages, then through effective treatment it is fully curable.

But because of ignorance and lack of treatment in the early stages, it leads to liver cirrhosis or Cancer which proves fatal. According to the WHO, hepatitis kills 1.3 million people worldwide each year. Therefore, it’s vital to undergo regular checkups and, if infected, seek timely treatment to save valuable lives.

Shri Venkateshwara University observed World Hepatitis Day by organizing free checkup camps.

Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor, stated that hepatitis kills 1.3 million people each year because of a lack of awareness, poor diagnosis, and delays in treatment.

The CMS Dr Suresh Kumar G Mehta advised citizens to get vaccinated against hepatitis infection.

Those present included the HR Head Kuldeep Singh, Dr Manik Tyagi, Dr Ikram Elahi, Dr BS Tyagi, Quality Control Officer VIMS Hospital Dr Surya Kiran Singh, Nursing Head Jyoti Vajpayee and Anita Singh.

Poline, SK Singh, Mohit from Marketing, Yogesh Sharma, and Sachin Sharma were all present. The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
