Friendly Cricket Tournament

The Venkateshwara Group of Institutions Meerut organized a Friendly Cricket Tournament at its premises.

5 teams took part in the friendly cricket tournament.

It included participants from education, B.Pharma, D.Pharma, Polytechnic, and B.tech streams.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro-chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, In charge VC Dr Rakesh Yadav & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon & getting introduced with the players.

In his address, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri affirmed games instill confidence, skill & make the players strong.

Further, games play a crucial role in the mental, physical and the character development of the students.

Dr Rajiv Tyagi stated that nowadays our players have dedicated themselves to sports to achieve their passion.

Their determination, focus, and hard work have enabled them to become a revered person. Moreover, all players should spare some time each day for playing games.

Lastly, Dr Pratap Singh stressed that those who play with dedication, have team spirit and support fellow players can become outstanding players.

In the first match, the D Pharma team scored 170 runs and batted first after winning the toss.  

Such tournaments are a regular feature at VGI because we strive for the holistic development of the students.
