World Environment Day 2025
Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute and VIMS Multispecialty Hospital observed World Environment Day 2025.
Moreover, they organized a tree planting drive, an environmental seminar, and an awareness campaign.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and Senior IFS Officer Mr. SP Singh inaugurated the event by offering flowers on the portrait of Goddess Saraswati.
Naresh Chaudhary, Senior Police Officer of Forest Dep’t. Mr. Sumit Rathi joined them to unveil the environment seminar cum awareness campaign marking World Environment Day 2025.
Later, along with the UP Forest Department, the Venkateshwara Group planted 2100 saplings at Gajraula, Meerut campuses and along both sides of the National Highway. They pledged to conserve and protect these plants for the future.
We planted Banyan, Parijat, Tulsi, Gooseberry, Neem, Jamun, Rudraksha, Bel & many other medicinal and shady plants on the campus.
We also felicitated Forest conservators, 2 DFOs, Forest Rangers, Inspectors & over a dozen forest guards by gifting them shawl and memento.
The participants appealed all to plant more and more trees and play an active part in making India Polythene Free.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated it’s a lucky coincidence that 5th June is the birthday of our honourable CM Yogi Adityanathji.
Let’s take an oath to gift plants on social occasions like birthdays, marriage anniversary, naming ceremonies & the likes. This will help realize honourable PM’s Clean Indian Green India dream and also play an active part in the growth and development of the nation.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted educated, sophisticated people getting away from nature is the main reason for global warming and climate change.
We should all work towards environment conservation and protection only then development is possible without destruction. Further, we should completely discard plastic from our daily lives only then we can conserve Mother Earth.
Massive tree plantation drive is the most effective way to stop global warming and environment pollution. Dr Rajeev Tyagi was speaking at a seminar on ‘Remove Plastic Pollution to Safeguard Environment’.
Senior IFS Officer Mr. SP Singh stated the Venkateshwara Group is recognized for both its quality education and social initiatives.
For instance, they have successfully planted 2,100 saplings in partnership with the Forest Department, demonstrating their commitment to the environment.
Those present included the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Academic Dean Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Ashutosh, Dr Jyoti Singh, Dr Ana Erik Brown, Dr Neetu Singh, Anusha Karnwal, Dr Suman, and Dr Vivek Sachan.
Dr Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr SN Sahu, Dr Ram Kumar, Dr Anil Jaiswal, Dr Rajwardhan, SS Baghel, Maroof Chaudhary, Pritpal, were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
