Interdepartmental Sports Meet

On Saturday Venkateshwara Group of Institutions Meerut organized an interdepartmental sports meet where 32 teams took part in Chess, TT, & Carom events. We organize sporting events regularly because they foster the spirit of competitiveness amongst students.

These events reflect our endeavor for the holistic development of the students because ability to work in teams is crucial.

In fact twice in a month we arrange various cultural & sports programs so that students get a chance to exhibit their hidden talents.

Dr Sudhir Giri Chairman Venkateshwara group, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, VC Prof. P K Bharti & the Meerut Campus director Dr Pratap Singh inaugurated the interdepartmental sports meet by having a formal introduction with the players.

Prafulla Yadav & Sumit of Pharmacy department grabbed the first and second spot in Chess & TT events. While Bunty Kumar & Vishal Chauhan of Polytechnic bagged the second spot.

Finally, Mr. Kaif won the second spot in the Carom competition. The authorities felicitated the winners by giving those medals & certificates because we strive for the holistic development of our students.

Those present included the Director of education dept. Dr B C Dubey, Registrar Dr Ravi Shankar, Dr Sanjay Tiwari, & the sports in charge Mr. Abhinav Rana.

Also present were Ravi Kumar, Chetan Tewatia, Gaurav, Babu Ram, Rohit, & the media in charge Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
