The Venkateshwara Group of Institutions Meerut celebrated the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as Children’s day by organizing many cultural programs.
Dr Sudhir Giri Chairman Venkateshwara Group, Dr Rajiv Tyagi Pro-chancellor, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh Inaugurated Children’s day by lighting a lamp to the portrait of Pandit Nehru.
In the beginning, students Ruchi & Vandana recited the Saraswati Vandana & welcomed the guests.
Sahil Kashyap, Ujjwal Sharma, Sneha & Rakhi gave an exceptional dance & song performance that mesmerized the audience.
In his address, Dr Sudhir Giri asserted that today we have assembled to celebrate the birthday of the first Prime of Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, also observed as Children’s day.
Pt. Nehru was fond of children & loved them a lot. In fact he called them the actual strength of the nation & the foundation of society. That’s why we commemorate his birthday as Children’s day.
Further, Dr Rajiv Tyagi reiterated that Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru has a significant contribution to the country’s independence from the British rule. Moreover, he was a great freedom fighter.
The VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Meerut Campus Dir. Dr Pratap Singh, Director of Education Dr. B C Dubey, Principal Dr Sanjay Tiwari & the Registrar Dr Ravi Shankar also addressed the gathering because its a memorable function.
Those present included Ms. Alka Singh, Brajpal Singh, Deepak Kumar, Dr Pankaj Kumar, Pranav Sharma, Arun Sharma, Pooja Sharma, Sharmila Solanki, Priti Tyagi, and Lalit Kumar & Prachi Yadav.
