Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute celebrated World Radio Day with full fanfare and fervor.
Shri Venkateshwara University’s Department of Journalism & Mass Communication observed World Radio Day by organizing Mann Ki Baat Radio Ke saath & a melodious evening Geeton ka Karwan with full enthusiasm.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, Chief Guest Mr. Ram Singh Bodh, & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi inaugurated the function by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
The Vice Chancellor Dr Anil Kumar Shukla & the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey joined them to inaugurate the World Radio Day function.
During the function, we felicitated Mr Ram Singh Bodh, President of the world’s largest Radio Museum, by presenting a radio & turban. He heads the Bodh Institute in UP west.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated Radio, is the oldest & most credible mode of entertainment & communication. Our honourable PM has once again brought this into a limelight through his popular Mann Ki Baat program.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi affirmed Radio will never lose its relevance.
Over a half a dozen music and radio lovers presented mesmerizing songs & ghazals to mark this momentous day.
Madam Vinita Singh Singer & announcer Akashwani Lucknow gave a spiritual beginning to the event by singing the bhajan ‘राम आयेंगे आयेंगे, राम आयेंग that was appreciated by all. Later she sang Lata Ji’s famous song ‘इस मोड़ से जाते हैं that received a tremendous applause from the guests.
Renowned Poet Dr Madhu Chaturvedi mesmerized the audience with her ghazal चाँदनी रात हो आपका साथ हो, रोज यूँ जिंदगी से मुलाकात हो. While Radio Jockey Rahul Sharma sang the musical ‘तेरी आवाज सुनकर दिल ही दिल में मुस्कुराता हूँ, तेरी आवाज ना आये तो पल में टूट जाता हूँ which was liked by all.
Later, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey highlighted the radio journey through songs. Dr Divya Girdhar presented an excellent Ghazal that made the audience clap incessantly.
Those present included the Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, Group Consultant Mr RS Sharma, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Tejpal Singh, Dr CP Singh, Dr Anil Jaiswal, & Dr Ashutosh Singh.
Dr Om Prakash Gosai, Dr Rahul Kumar, Dr Ashwin Kumar Saxena, Dr Ram Niwas Sharma, Dr Sarvnand Sahoo, Dr Dinesh Gautam, Dr Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr Ana Brown were all present.
Also present were Dr LS Rawat, SS Baghel, Rinki Sharma, Arun Kumar Goswami, Dr Snehlata Goswami, Maroof Chaudhary & Abhishek Jain.
The Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh was present & also present was the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
