The Chief Guest Dr Udayveer Singh asserted freedom of expression means that the last person in the row can express his views, thoughts and information to the Government without fear.
But social media platforms without an editorial control are spreading fake news, narratives that are vitiating the social environment of the country.
On this World Press Freedom Day, let’s take an oath to become the voice of the common man and work to provide them the needy justice.
Moreover, Media is the 4th most powerful pillar of democracy that transmits the common man’s voice in the echelons of power and provides them justice. Media helps to bring them in the mainstream of society.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated we all are seeing the creative role of media in the development of independent India. The role of writers/journalists was equivalent to those of the freedom fighters during India’s freedom struggle.
Moreover, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi affirmed lets rise above caste, creed, region, religion and, with a nationalist feeling, contribute towards a Developed India.
Media, the 4th pillar of democracy, acts as a bridge between the Government & the common man & works to provide justice to the last man in the row. Let’s all move towards Missionary Journalism.
