Shri Venkateshwara University celebrated World Blood Donor Day by hosting a blood donation camp and health awareness seminar.
Shri Venkateshwara University, VIMS Multispecialty Hospital & VGI Meerut observed World Blood Donor Day 2025 by organizing a mega blood donation camp and a health awareness seminar.
The college management, students, faculty, and donors collected 126 units of blood during the event.
Blood donors informed people by carrying banners that highlighted the significance of donating blood regularly. Moreover, they pledged all to save people’s live by donating blood.
On World Blood Donor Day 2025 we conducted a CME wherein doctors, Paramedical Staff and nursing students learned the importance of donating blood.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi & the Medical Dean Dr Sanjeev Bhatt inaugurated the event by cutting a ribbon.
The Pathology HOD, Dr MS Prabhu, Dr Garima Bhatnagar, & Dr Naushad Ansari joined them to unveil the mega blood donation camp held at the blood centre of VIMS Hospital.
First, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi donated blood, followed by the students and faculty members of Nursing, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Management & other voluntary blood donors. Further, this initiative led to the collection of 126 units of blood.
Dr. Sudhir Giri, Founder and President of the Venkateshwara Group, said that voting, donating cows, food, and performing kanyadaan are all important acts of giving.
However, blood donation is supreme because it saves lives. Further, he appealed all to donate blood and also inspire others to do so at regular intervals.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi announced the Venkateshwara Group will collaborate with Voluntary health organizations to start blood donation awareness camps all over the country.
Those present included the VC Dr KK Dave, Registrar Dr Piyush Kumar Pandey, Dean Nursing, Dr Sachi Ahlawat, Dr Garima Bhatnagar, Dr Nivisha, Dr Kanwar, Dr Manish, Dr Sneha Gautam & Dr Naushad.
Hospital Marketing Director MA Chaudhary, Farheen, Nursing Head Jyoti Vajpayee, Anita were all present.
Moreover, the Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
