The Judiciary is the Guardian of the Constitution

Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute organized a dialogue program and felicitation function on the topic “The Judiciary is the Guardian of the Constitution.”

Justice PK Giri of the Allahabad High Court was the chief guest at the event.

The SP Mr. Amit Kumar Anand and the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi honoured Justice PK Giri by gifting him a bouquet, Pátka, turban and an Ashok Emblem.

Justice PK Giri, Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, IPS Mr. Amit Kumar Anand, and the VC Dr KK Dave inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

In his address to law students, Justice PK Giri stated that by establishing fast-track courts, women’s courts, juvenile courts, and other special courts, we hope victims of serious crimes will receive speedy justice.

The judiciary being an important part of democracy, it not only balances the government’s power of influence but also protects the fundamental rights of citizens.

Moreover, he emphasized that the major roles of the judiciary are to protect citizens’ fundamental rights, uphold the constitution, ensure law and order, and support a free and stable democratic society without dictatorship.

Dr. Sudhir Giri, Founder President of the Venkateshwara Group, reiterated that among the four pillars of democracy—Legislature, Executive, Media, and Judiciary—the Judiciary is crucial. It not only protects citizens’ fundamental rights but also ensures the rule of law in a democratic society that is free from dictatorship.

Amroha SP Mr. Amit Kumar Anand stated that the judiciary, executive, legislature, and media work together. Without any of them, it is impossible to have a strong democracy and safeguard the rights of ordinary citizens.

Mr. Amit Kumar Anand was a distinguished guest at the event – The Judiciary is the guardian of the Constitution.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, said that the judiciary plays the most important role in creating a mature and stable democratic society.

Those present included the Law dean Dr Rajwardhan Singh, Group Advisor Dr RS Sharma, Dr Neetu Panwar, Dr Shilpa Raina, Dr Suman Kumari, Dr Mohit Sharma, Dr Shyamlal, and Dr Yogeshwar Sharma.

Further, Suman Meena, Ashok Kumar, and SS Baghel were all present. Moreover, the Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
