Organic Farming Research March

Shri Venkateshwara University organized an Organic Farming Research March.

Shri Venkateshwara University’s Agricultural Research Institute developed a quarter to six feet long bottle gourd and over four dozen vegetables and millets through organic farming.

The goal was to display over 112 varieties of vegetables, including palak, methi, mustard, bathua, carrot, peas, radish, sugarcane, and beetroot, grown organically without harmful pesticides or fertilizers.

Moreover, this march educated farmers to adopt organic farming methods without using harmful chemicals and fertilizers. We are growing about 50 food grain varieties through organic farming.

The scientists and researchers of Venkateshwara Agricultural Research Institute informed that Venkateshwara Agricultural Research Institute has become the first private institute in the country to cultivate black wheat along with 112 varieties of wheat.

From next year, farmers not only from this district but from other regions can purchase high-quality seeds of over 100 wheat varieties.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated that the uncontrolled use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in farming is causing cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

These diseases are taking people’s lives like a slow poison. Let’s all march together for organic farming.

Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi appealed to farmers, who are the country’s destiny builders, to adopt scientific organic farming methods.

This way they can contribute to realizing the honourable PM’s Healthy India- Ayushman India mission. He appealed to all the farmers to visit our highly advanced Agricultural Research Institute.

Dr Thomas Abraham affirmed that if organic farming is done through scientific methods, then it not only takes care of our health but also of our pockets. I.e. it improves farmer’s income.

Dr Thomas Abraham is the Dean of Venkateshwara School of Agriculture and Agricultural Research Institute.

Moreover, those present included the Agriculture Dean Dr Thomas Abraham, Dr Shesh Nath Mishra, Dr Mata Prasad, Dr Vinay Kumar Singh, Dr Jyoti Singh, Dr Brijkishore, Dr Varun Tripathi and Dr Chandrakant Singh.  

Moreover, Dr Abhishek Singh, Dr Aashiya Wahid, Kaushal Kumar, Anupam Sharma, and Udit Tiwari were all present. The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
