Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute ceremoniously sent off the 22 member team of boys & girls to take part in the National Federation Cup Tug of War Championship.
The National Federation Federation cup will take place in Panchkula Haryana on Feb 17th where many teams will take part from the country.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi & the VC Dr Rakesh Yadav complimented the team led by Azha Khan, International Champion & student of Shri Venkateshwara University. They boosted the morale of the players by showing the green flag.
The University Management gifted the players with sports kit, track suit, shoes, and cap & complimented them for victory.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, while addressing the gathering stressed that there is no such thing like defeat. When we take part in an event, either we win or learn from our mistakes. That’s why we never lose, but improve ourselves.
Those present included the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, CFO Vikas Bhatia, & the Meerut Campus Director Dr. Pratap Singh.
Also present were Alka Singh, Brajpal Singh, Deepak Kumar, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr S N Sahu, Dr Ana Brown, Dr C P Kushwaha, Dr Yogeshwar Singh, Dr Vivek Sachan, Arun Goswami, & S Baghel.
Also gracing the occasion was Pooja Singh, Kuldeep, Legal advisor Laxman Singh, Pritpal & the Media In charge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
Such events lead to the holistic development of the students because sports foster team spirit & endurance. A dedicated sports wing at SVU is nurturing the sports participation of the players.
