Shri Venkateshwara University marked National Cancer Awareness Day with several events.
Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute hosted a seminar and Cancer Awareness Rally on the occasion of National Cancer Awareness Day 2025.
The topic of the seminar was Cancer is life-threatening but curable.
Nursing, paramedical, and pharmacy students held a large awareness rally. They informed people about cancer. They advised people to get regular checkups to diagnose cancer.
The panel of specialist doctors informed that cancer is life -threatening but curable through effective treatment if detected in the early stages only.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, CMS Dr Suresh G Mehta, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey and the Dean Dr Ana Erik Brown inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati and flagging the rally.
Dr Om Prakash Gosai, along with Dr Ashwin Saxena, joined them to unveil the national seminar and awareness rally marking National Cancer Awareness Day 2025.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated that every year lakhs of deaths can be attributed to this terrible disease. Let us all run an awareness campaign to inform the masses about cancer and the benefits of regular checkups for early diagnosis.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted that though cancer is a life-threatening disease, but is fully curable if detected during the initial stages. For effective treatment along with medicines, psychological counselling, yoga, naturopathy and a balanced lifestyle play a formidable role in its treatment.
Moreover renowned doctor and CMS VIMS Multispecialty Hospital, Dr Suresh G Mehta, stated that cancer is fully curable through effective treatment if diagnosed during the first stage itself.
Those present included D Rajesh Singh, Dr Manish Sharma, Dr Manjari Rana, Anusha Karnwal, Juhi, Anuj Sharma, Harpreet Kaur, Sumandeep, Indu Singh, Tehseer, Shoaib, Juber, Alisha, Bobby Rawat, Smita and Sanjeev Kumar.
Moreover, the Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
