Kanwar Service Camp

The Venkateshwara Group launched the Kanwar Service Camp at the Siwaya Toll plaza in Meerut, as it does every year, to serve returning devotees who have carried the sacred Ganges water.  

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri’s parents Shri Shiv Kumar Giri & Kamla Giri ji inaugurated the Service camp by offering prayers to Lord Shiva. Ms. Jagriti Awasthi SDM Sardhana was also present during the inauguration ceremony.

The chief attendant of the Kanwar Service camp, Mr Deepak Sharma, informed that there are ample facilities of fresh food, lodging & washing in the camp. For the woman devotees, we have separate washroom, food & resting facilities.

Further, the service camp provides 24 hour meals like morning breakfast, lunch & dinner, along with medical facilities to the sick free of the cost.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated with the blessing of Lord Shiva the Venkateshwara Group has been organizing Kanwar Camp for many years and it’s an honour to serve the devotees of Lord Shiva.

Moreover, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi asserted we pray to God that many believers visit our camp & give us a chance to serve them.

The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, stated by serving Shiv devotees, it gives a similar satisfaction, like carrying the Kanwar.

Present at the event were Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, the CEO, Dr. Rakesh Yadav, the VC, Ritesh Pandey, Dr. Ravi Shankar, Dr. Sanjay Tiwari, Mr. Vikas Kaushik, Himanshu Sharma, Dushyant Mishra & Mayank Agarwal.

Noticeable was the Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, who served the devotees in genuine spirit.

Also present were Mr. Deepak Kumar, Brajpal Singh, Mohit Vats & the Media In charge, Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
