Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI Meerut and Karuna Yoga Foundation collaborated to organize a grand Yoga Camp and felicitation ceremony in honor of International Yoga Day 2023.

Moreover, the felicitation ceremony marked the conclusion of the 14 day Yoga Camp that took place at the University.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2023, renowned Yoga Trainer & Chairperson of Karuna Yoga Foundation Delhi, Ms. Karuna Tyagi gave Yoga tips to the students & Staff of the University.

Further, she exhorted the youth to accomplish the mission of Healthy India through Yoga.

The Yoga for Youth fortnight continued for 14 days & concluded on International Yoga Day. SVU felicitated the Yoga Trainers by giving them a shawl & a memento.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Chief Guest Ms. Karuna Tyagi, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi & Mr. Rajesh Singh from the Ministry of Ayush inaugurated the Yoga Camp cum felicitation ceremony by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated India is a country of youth. Through Yoga, meditation and youth power, India is on track to become a world leader.

In her address, Ms. Karuna Tyagi informed Yoga has been the historic heritage of India. PM Narendra Modi’s efforts have helped Yoga regain its lost glory and gain international recognition.

Moreover, Yoga not only improves our personal lives but also contributes towards nation development.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced that on the conclusion of the Yoga for Youth fortnight Shri Venkateshwara University complimented Yoga trainers by gifting them a shawl & memento. He further added that Yoga & spirituality are a reminiscent of Strong India.

International Yoga Day 2023 was well received

Those present included the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Ana Brown, Dr CP Kushwaha, Dr Ram Kumar & Dr Vivek Sachan.

Also present were Mr. Abhinav Giri, Neetushree Pal, Yoga Guru Meenu Chaudhary, Dr Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr Anil Kr. Jaiswal, Kaushal Gupta, Dr Uma Mishra, Dr Charu Agarwal & Maroof Chaudhary.

Also marking their presence was Priyanka Sirohi, Arun Goswami, Vivek Sharma, Vishal Sharma, Abhishek Jain, SS Baghel, Suman Kaur, Pratibha, Himani, Anusha Karnwal, Pooja Kumari & Pooja.

Those taking part included Reena, Rinki Sharma, Dr Varsha Yadav, Sheelbhadra, Vivek Sharma, Saurabh Yadav, Navneet Saini, Vijay Yadav, Sanjeev Rai, Gurdayal Katiyar & Lallu Singh.

Further, we acknowledge Bhupendra Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mukesh Joshi, & Rakesh Kumar for taking part in the event.

Noticeable with his presence was the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh, Media In charge Mr. Vishwas Rana, all Medical, Nursing students and all staff & faculty members of the University & Institute.
