Shri Venkateshwara University organized a seminar on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day.
Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute hosted a seminar titled “Corruption is a Global Curse and a Threat to Democracy” for International Anti-Corruption Day 2025.
The seminar was held under the aegis of Shri Venkateshwara University and VGI Meerut, where experts called corruption a global curse and a threat to democracy.
Further, we made thousands of students take an oath against corruption so that they can work with sincerity and integrity in their work domains and contribute towards national development.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, senior advocate on consumer affairs, Dr Gopal Narsen, registrar, Dr Piyush Pandey, and Dr Rajesh Singh inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated that corruption is a termite not only at the personal, family, institute or societal level but it’s the biggest obstacle in the path to achieving a healthy and stable democracy.
If you look over the world, you can find that corrupt countries are on the path of complete downfall.
Pro-Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted that with the appointment of Lokpals in different states, strong anti-corruption laws, and schemes like RTI have helped to curb corruption in the last decade.
This has led to unprecedented growth in India’s GDP.
But to weed out corruption from the country, every citizen, along with the Government, should play their active role in banishing corruption and helping to restore a stable democracy.
Senior Advocate Dr Gopal Narsen, Registrar Dr Piyush Kumar Pandey, and Dr Neetu Panwar also addressed the seminar held to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day.
Those present included the Academic Dean Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Suman Kumari, Dr Arti Gupta, Dr Rajwardhan, Dr Jayveer Singh, SS Baghel, and Dr Shriram Gupta.
The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
