Shri Venkateshwara University and VGI Meerut have jointly established a Women’s bathing space (pink booth) on the banks of the river Ganga to ensure the safety of women devotees during bathing.
This is part of the women’s empowerment initiative of the Venkateshwara Group.
Further, the University officials conducted a 2 Km cleanliness drive on the Ganga bank as part of the Clean India Green India mission after they established a women’s bathing space.
The students & female faculty members of the University presented an excellent play showcasing Growing India through women’s empowerment that was appreciated by all.
Moreover, Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor, led the team in distributing 10,000 eco-friendly bags to make the Ganga fair free of polythene.
The Group Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Giri, stressed the need for a collaborative effort in conducting a comprehensive cleanliness campaign. This will contribute to the success of the Prime Minister’s Clean India – Green India, Namami Ganga, and Polythene-free India campaigns.
The Pro Chancellor & the Program Coordinator Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced Shri Venkateshwara University in collaboration with the UP Government will organize an All India Kavi Sammelan on the evening of Nov 26.
Those present included the Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr Divya Girdhar, Dr CP Singh, Dr Sharad Sachan, Dr Sharad Chaudhary & Dr SS Baghel.
Arun Goswami, Dev Pratap Singh, Retd. Additional SP Mr. Ram Yash Singh, CO Gurdayal Singh, Anand Nagar, Dr Snehlata Goswami, Anusha Karnwal, Aashi Nair were all present.
