Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute celebrated World Earth Day 2025 by organizing mass tree plantation drive and awareness rally for environmental protection. On this occasion, we hosted a debate on the topic Environmental protection is a global need and a fundamental duty wherein 150 students took part.

We planted over 501 fruit-bearing, shady plants on campus and along the highway. We also held a rally to promote environmental protection and conservation.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri pledged students & staff to conserve nature and prevent the overexploitation of natural resources.

Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr KK Dave and Dr Madhu Chaturvedi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated because of climate change & uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources, the world is experiencing global warming.

The result is we are experiencing temperatures to the tune of 40-45 degree Celsius in April itself. If this continues unabated, we are heading towards a catastrophe. We need to plant enough trees in record time to conserve the environment.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi asserted we will have to face unprecedented consequences if we didn’t plant enough trees to protect our environment. Therefore, we should not only plant trees but also vow to protect & conserve them for life.

The VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave affirmed we should pledge to not only plant enough trees but commit to conserve and protect them for life.
