Chetan Chauhan Sports Award 2023

Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute organized a press conference to deliberate on the forthcoming Chetan Chauhan Sports Award 2023 to be held on Aug 27th.

Mr. Naman Bhardwaj President Sports Promotion Organization of India (SPO) & Dr Rajiv Tyagi Pro Chancellor & Official representative of the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri informed SVU will honour over 150 players & coaches in this program.

The Constitution Club of India will hold an event on Aug 27, where Kapil Dev, Dr Sudhir Giri – Chairman of Venkateshwara Group, and Mrs. Sangita Chauhan – the wife of late cricketer Mr. Chetan Chauhan will felicitate the promising players .

Madanlal, a former cricketer, and Rohan Jaitley, along with prominent diplomats and politicians, will present the Chetan Chauhan Sports Award 2023 to athletes who have won medals for the country.

Dr. Sudhir Giri, the Group Chairman, reaffirmed his commitment to helping meritorious students, particularly girls, achieve higher education and excel in sports.

Moreover, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor, affirmed that the Venkateshwara Group is creating an excellent platform for players from villages and towns that do not have basic sporting facilities. Further, this has led to a group of players who have won medals in both national and international events.

Mr. Naman Bhardwaj asserted that by helping Azha Khan, Narendra Kumar Rana, Swati Singh & others, the Venkateshwara Group has nurtured over a dozen national & international players for the country.

Those present included the Chief Advisor to the Chairman Dr VPS Arora, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh & Mr. Balaji Mayappan.

Noticeable with his presence was the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh, Maroof Chaudhary, Vikrant Chaudhary, Dr Vivek Sachan, Arun Goswami, SS Baghel & the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
