Ahilyabai Holkar’s Memorial Campaign

Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute hosted a seminar cum felicitation function celebrating Ahilyabai Holkar’s Tricentenary Memorial Campaign.  

Renowned speakers exhorted the youth to follow the path of justice and religion endorsed by Ahilyabai Holkar.

They praised her commendable work done for the nation, society, religion, education, justice and towards women’s empowerment.

The Chief Guest & Member Legislative Council Mr. Satyapal Saini, Teacher MLC Hari Singh Dhillon, & the Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati and by offering flowers to the portrait of Ahilyabai.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and chairperson MC Shashi Jain joined them to unveil the seminar cum felicitation function marking Ahilyabai Holkar’s Tricentenary Memorial Campaign.

In his address, Mr. Satyapal Saini, who is BJP’s state vice president asserted Ahilyabai Holkar was not only an able administrator and a brave warrior, but she also promoted social justice, women empowerment, and the voice of the victimized and the underprivileged.

She promoted education and the restoration of temples, mosques and Gurudwaras.  

Her thoughts are relevant even today. People call her the Lokmata of the country and Devi Ahilyabai because she promoted social justice in Maharashtra and throughout India.

Moreover, there is no visionary, just and social reformer of her caliber even today.

Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon, a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council, praised her revolutionary efforts in education, social justice, and women’s empowerment.

As a result, people referred to her as Goddess and Lokmata and started worshipping her.

The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated Devi Ahilyabai Holkar educated women and brought them at par with men and this allowed women’s integration into the society and national mainstream.

Shri Udaygiri Goswami District President BJP emphasized that in the last 1 decade the central government and state government have done so much work to empower women which no one has done in the past 50 years.

Moreover, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi stated getting inspired by Ahilyabai Holkar our daughters are making India proud in different spheres. Municipality chairperson Shashi Jain also addressed the seminar function.

Those present included the Yuva Morcha President Shubham Chaudhary, ex district President Girish Tyagi, Rishipal Nagar, GS Abhinav Kaushik, Himanshu Tyagi, Pooran Singh Saini, & Chandrabhan Bhati.

VC Dr KK Dave, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, SS Baghel, Arun Goswami, Maroof Chaudhary, Pritpal, Gurvinder were all present. The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.

Abhinav Kaushik GS conducted the program exceedingly well.
