Shri Venkateshwara University launched an educational tour program to teach students modern farming techniques.
The School of Agriculture Sciences at Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute successfully concluded a week long Agriculture Seminar cum Educational tour on March 17.
Our students and faculty visited IARI Pusa New Delhi, SVPAU Meerut, GB Pant Agriculture University Pant Nagar and over half a dozen central agriculture Institutes/Universities during the 7 day Agriculture Seminar cum Educational tour.
They took part in seminars to learn progressive farming techniques, & different methods to double farmer’s income.
Moreover, by adopting progressive farming techniques, they plan to make India the biggest economy and realize the dream of Viksit Bharat.
Further, the Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated agriculture is the backbone of India’s economy & the future of a progressive country.
Moreover, by doubling farmer’s income, we can realize the dream of Viksit Bharat.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi elaborated, over 400 students of the School of Agriculture visited half a dozen renowned central agriculture institutes and learned agriculture techniques that will augment farmer’s income.
Apart from this, renowned agriculture scientists informed about the use of drone technology & organic farming techniques to get a bumper yield for wheat, sugarcane, rice, mustard & mango. These are the prominent crops of north India.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi announced by establishing soil testing lab and drone technology, we will develop the School of Agriculture Sciences into a Centre of Excellence.
Dr TP Singh Former Chief Scientist IARI New Delhi asserted through new agriculture techniques, organic farming, dairy technology, food processing & by adopting advanced scientific techniques agriculture has not only become a profitable venture but a stable profession. There are plenty of job opportunities for trained graduates in the agriculture sector.
Those present included the VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave, Dean School of Agriculture Dr TP Singh, Dr CP Singh, Dr Shesh Nath Mishra, Dr Vinay Kumar Singh, Dr Jyoti Singh, Dr Mata Prasad, & Dr Laxmi Kant.
Dr Abhishek Kumar Singh, Dr Brijkishore, Dr Varun Tripathi, Kaushal Kumar, Udit Tiwari were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
