Shri Venkateshwara University marked the 79th Independence Day with various activities.
Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute celebrated the 79th Independence Day by hoisting a 101 feet tall national flag and organizing over a dozen events that showcased patriotic fervour.
The festivities continued until late evening, comprising the Tiranga Rally, cultural evening and over a dozen events. We felicitated national and international players along with meritorious students of the University by gifting them certificates and mementos.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi and the VC Dr KK Dave inaugurated the Flag Hoisting and Cultural Function by hoisting the national tricolor.
Dr Madhu Chaturvedi and the Registrar, Dr Piyush Pandey, joined them to unveil the festivities marking India’s 79th Independence Day by offering flowers on the portrait of Mother India.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated that only a few get the privilege to fight the country’s enemy on the border. But there are other ways also to perform national service.
When ordinary citizens, youth, children and older adults work sincerely in their work domains and contribute towards a corruption-free United India, then this also comes under National Service.
We should discard polythene, pay taxes, and never throw waste in public places. If we don’t spit betel, cigarettes and tobacco in public places and by empowering women contribute our part to create a Clean India, Healthy India, Rich India, then this will be a real tribute to the country’s martyrs.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, affirmed that there is nothing bigger than respect for the national flag, patriotism and the love for the nation.
Dr. KK Dave urged everyone to do their part in achieving a corruption-free, developed India.
The Registrar, Dr Piyush Pandey, also addressed the August gathering on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day function at Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute.
Those present included Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr BS Tyagi, HR Head Kuldeep Singh, Ranjeet S Multani, APO Krishna Gujjar, Dr SN Sahu, Dr Suman Kumari, Dr SK Shrivastava, Marketing Head Tarun Kambhoj and Dr CP Singh.
Dr Ashwini Saxena, Dr Rajwardhan, Dr Anjali Bhardwaj, Dr Uma Mishra, Dr Jyoti Singh, Dr Ram Kumar, SS Baghel, Sanjeev Rai, Virendra, Sheelbhadr, Neeraj Giri, Sanjeev, Raju, Saurabh Arya and Sunil Bhagwania were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh was present along with Mr. Brajpal Singh, Santosh, Satendra, Prashant Kumar, Sachin, Rakesh Kumar, Amit, Ajay, Rahul, Vinit, Pritpal Singh and the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
