4th Wako India Open International Kickboxing Tournament 2025

The 4th Wako India Open International Kickboxing Tournament 2025 began with great enthusiasm at the Indira Gandhi International Sports Complex in New Delhi.

Over 2000 renowned fighters from 22 countries will take part in this kickboxing tournament underway from 1st -5th February in New Delhi.

Players from the UK, Ireland, Germany, Croatia, Estonia, Australia, UAE, Finland, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Switzerland along with 22 countries will compete under Junior/Sub junior/Senior categories

On the concluding day of the Kickboxing championship, Federation Presidents/VP, Sports Ministers and Diplomats will grace the event.

The Chairman of World Kickboxing Federation Mr. Roy Baker, President of Indian Kickboxing Federation Mr. Santosh Agarwal & the Associate Vice Chairman of Kickboxing Dr Rajeev Tyagi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.  

The Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana, Mr. Anand Mohan Saran & the Chairman of World Sports Technical Committee, Mr. Romeo Deza, joined them to unveil the grand kickboxing championship.

During the opening session, Indian artists presented excellent cultural programs that made the event memorable.

Dr Rajeev Tyagi, who is the Pro Chancellor of Shri Venkateshwara University & Associate Vice Chairman of Kickboxing, informed that over 2000 fighters from 22 countries will face their opponents in the ring.

He further said that it’s a moment of pride that the Sports Ministry GOI has included Kickboxing under the Khelo India Scheme. Soon Kickboxing will be part of the Olympics too.

Mr. Santosh Agarwal has granted international recognition to Kickboxing in India. The Venkateshwara Group, led by Founder President Dr. Sudhir Giri, will host the Kickboxing National Games at Shri Venkateshwara University in April.

Moreover, winners will be honored with medals on the evening of February 5th, in the presence of their respective Sports Ministers.

The Venkateshwara Founder President, Dr Sudhir Giri, complimented fellow countrymen for successfully hosting the 4th Wako India Open International Kickboxing Tournament 2025.

Moreover, the Chief Referee of Switzerland, Mr. Antonio Sirendolo, Adil Bykuzeb of Uzbekistan, Marsh Peter from England, & David Marsh from Estonia congratulated the dignitaries for successfully hosting the championship.

The VC of Shri Venkateshwara University Dr Krishna Kant Dave, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh also extended their cordial greetings.
