Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute held a Shramdan for cleanliness to support the “Cleanliness is Service” campaign by the honorable PM.
Dr. Sudhir Giri, the Group Chairman, Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, the DM, Kunwar Anupam Singh, the SP, Mr. Ashwini Mishra, the CDO, and the Joint Magistrate took part in a cleanliness drive to make the country clean.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, DM Mr. Rajesh Kumar, & the SP Mr. Anupam Singh flagged off the cleanliness drive at the University campus.
Mr. Ashwini Mishra and others joined in to inaugurate the Shramdan for cleanliness and the cleanliness motivator award ceremony.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi & the present dignitaries felicitated the cleaners with the cleanliness motivator award for keeping our surroundings clean. Further, they honoured 48 cleaners with a shawl & memento as a mark of respect for their service.
Afterward, the Pro Chancellor, Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, along with DM Mr. Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, SP, CDO and other dignitaries, rode in an Electric Golf car to promote environmental conservation.
In his address, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated he still remembers PM Modi’s remark he made 5 years ago that about 50 years ago he informed his mother that the litter man has arrived.
His mother corrected him & said that he is not the waste creator but the cleaner while we are the waste generators who spread waste here & there. These sweeper brothers clean the dirt & keep the surroundings clean. They are the revered sweepers who keep the surroundings clean. This motherly teaching is the strength of the clean India Green India mission. These sweepers are the backbone of the country’s cleanliness drive.

The Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, and several other doctors were present. Among them were Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr DP Singh, Dr SN Sahu, Dr Chandra pal Singh, Dr Vivek Sachan, Dr Anil Jaiswal, and Dr Siddhartha.
Also present were Ramyash Singh, Gurdayal Katiyar, SS Baghel, Sadhana, Pritpal & the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
