Shri Venkateshwara University<\/a>, along with Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) and VGI Meerut<\/a>, hosted a national seminar on World No Tobacco day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar dwelled upon awakening the masses & specially the youth about the ill effects of smoking and tobacco use. Over a dozen renowned Doctors apprised about the adverse effects of smoking and tobacco use & how it\u2019s a silent killer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, we carried out an awareness rally to ban smoking and to prohibit it in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Group <\/a>Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, Dean Academics Dr Sanjeev Bhatt, & Dr Atul Verma inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to goddess Saraswati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides, Dr Seema Gupta, & Anubhav Bhatnagar assisted them in inaugurating the world no tobacco day seminar & awareness rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Group <\/a>Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, announced that the faculty & students of Gajraula & Meerut Campuses will awaken people about the terrible effects of smoking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, the Pro Chancellor of SVU<\/a>, announced they will promote the message of No to Smoking Yes to Life & will urge the Government to ban tobacco nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Dr Sanjeev Bhatt, a well-known microbiologist, underlined that tobacco use causes over 70 lakh deaths worldwide every year, demonstrating the gravity of the situation. Of these Pulmonary Cancer kills over 40 lakh people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this, we conducted an awareness rally to ban smoking & Tobacco use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
